Bring in your own white, cotton T-shirt to tie dye, then make a cute puffy letter of your initial to hang from your bedroom door!
No previous sewing experience required
Demonstrations will be given, then your child will make their item by themself!
Help will be given where needed. No one is left to work alone if they are struggling
Everyone will have their own sewing machine to themself to use all day
The tutors are fully qualified textile teachers, with a full clear DBS. At least one tutor is first aid trained.
There will be two tutors present all day, plus a third tutor if the bookings exceed 14 attendees. Total maximum of 18 attendees in the workshop.
One full day of sewing from 9am to 3pm, with a morning break and lunch break in between
Materials and equipment except for the T-shirt is included. Please ensure your child brings a white T-shirt which is 100% cotton to dye.
Food and drink is not included, please provide your child with snacks, lunch, and a water bottle. They will be able to refill their water bottle from the water fountain
Drop off at 8.55am so that we can start promptly at 9am. Collect at 3pm

To attend one full day at our sewing workshop, it is £55. If you book all four days you will receive a 25% discount and be charged only £175.

FABRICS AND DESIGN
A variety of dyes and fabrics will be provided so that you can dye your T-shirt in your favourite colour and make your puffy letter in a fabric you like.
AIMS AND OUTCOMES
This will be an enjoyable day of tie dye, cutting, sewing, and socialising. You will also learn lots of sewing skills to use on future projects! We’re really proud to say that children who attend our courses become independent crafters, using materials, tools, and the sewing machine independently.
During the day, your child will learn:
How to use the sewing machine and different tools and equipment used in sewing
How to sew with wadding and learn what it is used for
An introduction to colour theory to select complimentary colours
Increase their confidence using a sewing machine, setting the dials, selecting the best stitch settings, and how to solve common problems
Various different folding and tie methods to achieve different tie dye patterns
How to prepare fabric for dying and the full dying process
