WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
The price you pay reserves you a place at each weekly session, all materials, and full use of all machines and tools. You will receive an email in the lead up to the course, with a wide range of both printed and plain fabrics to choose from, to select the one you’d like to make your trousers or shorts with.

PAYMENT PLANS
When you click to book, you will pay a non refundable deposit of £10 to reserve a place. You’ll then receive an email to choose your fabric and pay the balance. To confirm your place on the course, you must pay the balance 2 weeks before the first session.
AIMS AND OUTCOMES
By the end of the 4 week course, you will have made a pair of shorts or trousers, with an elasticated waistband and pockets, in a beautiful drapey viscose poplin, or viscose challis fabric, perfectly light for the summer months.
During the course, you will learn:
How to use a pattern (template) and and understand the specialist markings and symbols
Develop your understanding of different fabric types and how to work with them
To develop your existing knowledge of the sewing machine, and start using the overlocker to finish the raw edges of fabrics
How to sew an accurate open seam
How to sew a double turn hem accurately
Tips and tricks to getting high quality finishes
How to construct a casing to create an elasticated waistband
How to construct an “in seam” pocket
How to sequence and construct multiple sections of fabric
